Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. You’ll drive about 1.5 hours to Imlil Valley (1740m), the starting point of the trek. In Imlil, you’ll meet your local guide and enjoy a welcome Moroccan tea.
From there, you’ll start your hike toward the Toubkal basecamp (3207m), passing through scenic landscapes and the spiritual Chamharouch shrine. Lunch will be freshly prepared en route. After lunch, continue hiking uphill to the refuge, where you’ll spend the night. The total hiking time for the day is approximately 5 to 6 hours.
Summit day begins early with breakfast at the refuge before setting off for the climb to the peak of Mount Toubkal (4167m). The ascent takes around 3 hours. From the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains.
After taking in the summit views, descend back to the refuge (2–3 hours), where you’ll stop for lunch. Then, retrace your steps down to Imlil, a 4–5 hour walk. In total, expect 10–12 hours of trekking today. From Imlil, you’ll be transferred back to Marrakech, marking the end of your unforgettable 2-day Toubkal adventure.
