Mission Phases

Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi n'Tacht Pass – Tahliouine

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours to the High Atlas Mountains, where you meet your local trekking team. After a traditional mint tea break, start hiking towards Tizi n'Tacht Pass, reaching the pass after about two hours of ascent. Enjoy panoramic views before descending and following a mountain track towards the peaceful village of Tahliouine. Picnic lunch is served along the route. Overnight in a traditional Berber lodge.

Tahliouine – Tizi Oussem – Azib Tamsoult

After breakfast, continue your trek through the beautiful Azzaden Valley. Pass through the picturesque Berber village of Tizi Oussem before ascending gradually towards Azib Tamsoult (2,256m), a stunning mountain pasture surrounded by dramatic peaks. Enjoy lunch upon arrival and spend the night in a mountain refuge.

Azib Tamsoult – Lepiney Refuge

Following an early breakfast, begin a gradual ascent through remote mountain landscapes towards the historic Lepiney Refuge (3,000m), one of the oldest alpine refuges in the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, admire breathtaking scenery and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this less-traveled route. Lunch and overnight stay at the refuge.

Lepiney Refuge – Aguelzim Pass – Toubkal Refuge

Today offers some of the most spectacular scenery of the trek. Leave Lepiney Refuge and follow mountain trails leading to the famous Aguelzim Pass (3,600m). From the pass, enjoy incredible views of Mount Toubkal, surrounding peaks, and the Toubkal Base Camp below. After a picnic lunch, descend to the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m), where you spend the night preparing for the summit climb.

Mount Toubkal Summit – Imlil – Marrakech

Wake before dawn for the highlight of your trek: the ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest peak in North Africa. The climb to the summit takes approximately three hours. Once at the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the Atlas Mountains and the vast Moroccan landscape. Descend back to the refuge for lunch before continuing down through the Mizane Valley to Imlil. Meet your driver and transfer back to Marrakech, marking the end of your unforgettable hiking adventure in Morocco.
